Which brand of Kalkwasser?

Are some brands of kalkwasser better than others? Which brands would yield the highest calcium content?

You can use what is sold as kalkwasser in the aquarium trade or use pickling lime.

The different grades would be pharmaceutical grade or food grade. There may be another lesser grade, but I don't know what that is.

The purity differences are negligible. I use food grade pickling lime available for around 1.49 per pound vs. around $15 per pound with a kent marine sticker on it.

You can find pickling lime in the canning section of your grocery store. The two brands are Mrs. Wage's or Ball's
