I just noticed these guys popping out of the back of a brain coral. They're not green like the mojano's I've seen. They retract when disturbed.

Do these look like Mojano's? If so they sound tough to get rid of!

They could be. They are definitely not Aiptasia.

If you decide thay have to go, one carefully crafted sheet of epoxy applied over that patch and left for two weeks would take care of them without messing up the stony coral, encrusting gorgs or featherdusters around them.

Thanks for the advice. Wouldn't mind getting rid of the feather dusters either. They've become a plague!!

Where's a good place to get the epoxy?

Home depot around here has 4oz tubes of two-part kneadable epoxy for $4.

featherdusters are good for your tank. They are filterfeeders and when they spawn they actually produce real live zooplankton which is excellent for the corals. I would have guessed you would be slapping epoxy on those encrusting gorgs way before destroying those featherdusters. :D

Thanks for the info.

And after doing some research on the encrusting gorgs I may just place some epoxy on them too!

My feather duster 'plague'
