Hi, I managed to get hold of a good quantity of Garnet Sand. This a beautiful reddish brown medium grain sand. I did the vinegar test - and no fizzing. Is it safe to use in a 55 gal chicklid tank ? How does it effect plant growth ? If someone is already using this substance please give me your input
