Bugger, if you look at that link I gave above in Setp 10 it shows you the URL you want to copy to use from your galley. Then in Step 11 you will see where to paste that URL while making a reply (or starting a thread), or how to use the IMG tags alone. :)

click the pic in your gallery, gives you bigger pic and under pic it says use this URL for IMG tags = http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/70093HPIM0045.JPG

Next in your post type [ img]http://reefcentral.com/gallery/data/500/70093HPIM0045.JPG [/img]
Without the space in the first tag you will get

what I find easiest to use is photobucket.com. It is free. After you upload a picture at photobucket you copy the url (that will be the top box under your picture). You then go back to your post and hit the img button. That will bring up a box at the top of the page and then hit copy. That will automatically post your img tags into your post. Hit submit reply (I always hit preview first) and your picture will show up in your post. Good luck.

You need to remove the space from the first image tag so it reads [img]...here's the code for the pic posted above (just remove the _'s from the tags):

Bugger you used the correct url in that last attempt.

Look at the Example at the bottom of the page on this link Click Me (http://www.reefcentral.com/faqs/imgcode/IMGCODE.htm). That is how your URL needs to be surrounded.

Ha Ha, it worked for me. I do things a bit differently. Goto your RC gallery. Click on the picture you want. Than right click, select properties. Highlight the address, right click again, select copy. Then in the thread you want select "Post reply" In the "vB Code" section click on the "IMG" box. In the field that is editable rt. click and select paste. Than click "ok" HTH>

FYI - my posted picture is smaller because I did this from you thumbnail picture.

I removed the img tags from your link above so that you can see what the problem is. The correct link should be:

You got the red X because you used a link to a page that doesn't exist. Put the img tags around the correct link and you get:

He used the wrong url in all of his posts. They all ended in "043HPIM0044.JPG" when they should have ended in "093HPIM0045.JPG"

Bugger - Frist off - I haven't been called "toad" since I was 13 thanks. :p

When you are posting a reply (not the quick one) when you click "IMG" a box opens up. "http://" (colored blue) is in a field that you can type in. While the "http://" is still highlighted right click and select paste. I will now attempt to make a picture of the box that come up when you click on "IMG"

You need 100 posts for a custom Avatar (the picture under your name). For now you can go to MY RC, Edit Options, and scroll down to the bottom of the page to the option Avatar

Then pick which one you want (that RC provides) and you are set.

After you go to http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/images/top_myrc.gif (at the very top of every RC page) you will be taken to your User Control Panel. There is a row of seven choices. Edit Options is the third listed.
