First to post. Help Catch Fast Sly Fish

Any ideas on how to catch a fast and slippery fish. I have to remove one from my reef.

Depends on the type of fish. I have fished out Tangs by getting them to eat out of my hand, then netting them from behind. I've also used traps to catch dwarf angels, Traps need to be in place for awhile for the fish to get used to them.

I've hooked damsels. No really. Use the smallest possible hook, file off the barb, and they come through it with flying colors. For shier fish, I like the new acrylic fishtraps - looks like an acrylic jar with a flat piece of acrylic that slides down over the mouth. You attach a piec of fishing line to the "door," and you can be far away from the tank when the fish ventures inside and you release the door. The traps are kind of expensive for one-time use, but my LFS rents one out, and you might be able to suggest this to a LFS in your area - no one really wants to buy one, but the LFS can clean up on rentals,
