Hi I was wondering if any of you could tell me if a single 175 MH pendant would be enough light for a custom tank I have. The tanks dimensions sre 30"long 24" wide and 24" high

Also another question I have is at Walmart they sell a compact floresent worklight and I took out the bulb from the package and it had 4100 K written on it would this be the right spectrum for corals? it was about thirty bucks any info would be a great help thank you

Yes and/or NO. Depends on what you want to keep.

In general 24" deep tank minimum should be the 250W.

I would skip on 4100K. While that is a debatable topic wether corals need spectrum or intensity it is not really appropriate and would not be very pleasing to the eye. Minimum spectrum should be 5500K. 6500K+ prefered.
