Hi everyone . I just wanted to let you guys know I was in the hospital today for my woman . Anyways I talked to many doctors and nurses . Do you believe not a single person had any Knowledge about any marine dieseases . I actually almost had one doctor call the health department and police on me because I told him about palytoxin and the details about it . They also had no clue as to what Mycobacterium marinum was. So my word of cation to you all . Please let your regular doctor know that you own a reef aquarium/s . It would also be wise to print out this article http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2003-07/sp/feature/index.htm and any other article concerning palytoxin http://www.chem.orst.edu/ch331-7t/ch331/CH331-F99/motds/MOTD115.htm and have them put it in your folder. Reason being I called most of the hospitals around and none knew of these dangerous toxins/bacterias . Each Hospital responded with the utmost concern and all told me to tell my doctors so that can be added to the file.
As I was told these are not something they would look for and they would never give a second thought about testing for marine disease because we are in the desert.
So protect yourself and let your doctors know.
