There are a bunch in D/FW but you off the beaten path over in Kemp. I go to Tyler and Corsicana quite a bit and sometimes find myself around Kemp. Nice place though. If you want you can join the DFW MAS (http://www.dfwmas.com/) . It has a monhly meeting that usually takes place at a LFS. Also you can visit Marc's website (http://melevsreef.com) . He keeps a list of LFS and other helpful items there. Oh, welcome to Texas.

I think there are more than you realize. Just wondering are you moving to a place on cedar creek lake? My brother-in-law actually lives on that lake, he is one of the moderators on here. And a couple of other people that live in that area are members of DFWMAS, in fact one lives in Kemp.

Hi Rickee, yes it is just off of Cedar lake, its 40 acres. Will be flying in tomorrow to make the deal we hope. I am so thrilled to meet people that live in that area. Are there any sw stores around there? I want to get a large tank set up and running before bringing my livestock to the new house. Anyone sell tanks around that area?
Any good SW stores, thanks for posting. I am a bit anxious about this part of moving as have 6 sw tanks that will be coming with me. And am hoping there are others in that area enough to warrant a sw store.

Somebody made up a list of lfs in the DFW metroplex area, here is a link.

You hopefully know already though, where you are planning on moving to is about 50-55 miles from downtown Dallas. So it is quite a distance out. Some on list are of course closer to that side of the area and others alot farther.

HI Rick, thanks so much for the list. We arent city folks, we just sold our farm in Az and want land, we like to have our horses, dogs and birds. Also chickens. And since I am in to saltwater.

I wanted to see what was around the area. My husbands brother lives in Allen and I see it isnt to far from where we will be. He was born in Tx and knows his way around the place pretty well, all of his family is there so kind of like going home.

Now thats really interesting, I moved to Allen in 1988 and lived there till last year. I now live in Lucas, which borders Allen and only live 3 1/2 miles from where we lived before. My son still goes to Ford middle school in Allen and we still pretty much (live) in Allen. Same church, bank, soccer teams, boy what coincidence.

By the way, I forgot to mention that ceratinly is a lot of Rose anenomes and some very large. You certainly would be a welcome addition to DFWMAS and its forum with your experience with them.
