Scratched Tank

I know they make an automotive windshield repair kit. Too remove chips and scratches. Is there something like this to remove shallow scratches from a tank?

On the inside I'm not sure. On the outside I'd think something like a repair kit by Novus for a windshield would work ok. Don't know if it'd be safe inside though.
