I bought a frag last week from my LPS who regularly gets ORA and knows the ORA guys. They had 2 ordered on the list, but did they were zeroed when the order arrived. Long story short, there was a frag that was called a tri-color, but matched the "supposed description" to a T ... I bought it and will take a picture tonight and try to post it. It is a deep purple with green polyps.

Paul, Rick has some of the delicates at the store last time I was in there. They look very cool, but man I wonder how many branches break off durring shipping.

Here's my ORA Purple Pillow about 1 month after arrival.

I believe ORA offers a descriprion line for their Acropora nana as "Tricolor" and their Acropora valida as "tricolor" general description not a name though.

ORA also offers Marshall Isalnd frags and there is a "Marshall Island Tricolor" that comes in with that shipment and will sometimes be listed on the invoice as such.
Here's my ORA valida after a couple months

And my ORA Marshall Island "Tricolor" after a couple weeks.

I would love to see this coral that was listed as a tricolor when you get a chance to post a pic.

Great pics Todd! That last tricolour looks incredible. Those polyps are beautiful! I will have to keep my eyes open for one of those.

Your pillow looks entirely different then mine. It has turned a bright yellow with purple tips.

I keep saying I need to take some pics of all my ORA frags, but my skills are so poor they come out looking terrible and do not do the coral justice.

The naming of these colonies is really getting out of hand. How can it be called an Australin Delicate Acro when we do not allow the export of corals under any circumstances. Either the name is the result of an over imaginative marketer, or this coral is the result of a black market export. I would presume the former to be the most likely explanation.

I wonder if the delicate staghorn is really an acropora Subglabra.

Actually it came from a Germany. Its is a very commonly traded coral over there, most of the tanks I have seen have at least one colony in their tank. How they got it, I don't know. They all tell the same story though.

well I have been keeping marine aquariums since 1980 and there has been a ban on the export of corals from this country since at least then. Someone commented on the last time I posted on this subject and I will openly say that I dont want the source of corals to be misrepresented. But hey, If ou guys are saying this coral is a frag of a coral that was collected over twenty years ago, I'll believe you. The bottom line is that it is a beautiful coral and all the photos show that the owners are doing a great job with it, wherever it came from.
