Does anyone know where which local store one can find pickling lime? I looked at Safeway and didn't see any. Then again, I had no idea where to look. Hardware?Baking, frozen foods???

It's usually in with the canning supplies.

alexchern75.. It may not be the right season right now.. the typical brands that grocery stores carry is Ms. Wages or Ball..
if you can't find any locally, i can sell you some of my Mississippi lime for $2 a pound (very messy to handle).. this stuff is the best lime you can get.

Check on the BAR forum...there was a thread there a while back about ordering it online...I'm gonna have 2 or 3 bags of Mrs. Wages to sell as I start selling off everything, but Modesto is a long trip from Sac just for this stuff...

I just bought some at WalMart in Folsom. It's the aisle's to the left by the canning supplies. Right before you get to the toy area.
