I think I'm gonna paint the back glass (exterior of course) before setting up the 38g, instead of using the store bought, tape on mural/vinyl stuff. Inevitably salt creep makes its way between the vinyl and glass before long.
Probably do some kind of sponge faux painting technique. Or I might just go all black or dark blue.
Is it ok to use regular latex paint? Or should I use spray paint?
Will my HOB stuff wear through or scratch the paint?

I've always sprayed a flat black kev. It took two cans to do a 30 long. It does not stick well. You have to go over and over, but it looks great when done. Never had a problem with devices scratching it off.

I have used spray paint for years, blue and dark blue, with good results.
