I noticed on another thread that petwarehouse is selling Maxijets cheap, $15 for a 1200, http://www.petwarehouse.com/webstore/webstore.nsf/(id)/1248E?OpenDocument

Any other deals you've come across that you'll share with fellow RC'ers??

Ocean Nutrition FLAKE food (not frozen) -
Formula 1 & 2, Prime Reef, Brine Shrimp
2.2 oz. = $1 (that's right - just 100 pennies)
5.3 oz. = $2 (not listed on website, but on phone owner told me about it)

WARNING - I just bought my first fish and had no idea how much 5.3 oz. of flakes is. IT'S A LOT!

a Suggestion - every 2 weeks this thread will be reset ?

easier than going through 50 pages to find a deal ?

as I know deals dont last - threads do.

I just want to let you guys know I have two pet industry wholesalers' price books on my computer here, and deal like the Formula flake foods are way below cost.

2.2 oz Formula One - Wholesales at $3.85

Just to give an example.

So don't go "hog wild" - you'll do more harm than good if you don't buy other stuff too.

SunfishFun
10/16/2001, 09:42 PM
True, mbuna. I hope people check out other stuff while they're at a site checking out the "super deal." I wrote about Reefgeek under Vendors b/c they always carry great products like Salifert kits, Maxijets, SeaChem meds, but for this thread I just mentioned their October special on food. I had just placed a big order w/ another company so all I purchased was this food. Although I know Reefgeek didn't make any money on this deal, they did get my attention and the opportunity for me to speak to owner on the phone and now I would like to support this company in the future. Without this sale, I would have probably just stuck with the larger companies I had already used before.

Turbo snails for FREE, also cortez hermits for FREE.... but you need to come here...Mexico.... If anyone is interested, I'm thinking of getting some to the states, I need to check first what I need to do at the border to get this suckers in... I have a ranch at the sea of cortez in SONORA, and can get 1,000,000 just to say a # for only $25USD of corse the money is to pay someone to bend over 1,000,000 and pick them upp.... I can also get redstars, something like blueish-greenish carpets anemones, damsels, tangsss, etc The live rock is not porous so it doesn't work too much, but it has allot of life in it.... I don't use this rock on my set upp, but a friend has about 300lbs of it on his125g...

Here is the one post about Royal Camera.com on Resellerrating.com website.

Comment From User: (WebBuyer)
Fri Jul 27 19:03:57 2001

I recently tried to purchase a high end video camera from these people – even though I had read the reviews (found this site today!) and knew what to expect. I was in no hurry for the camera and wanted to buy some accessories (but never an extended warranty) anyway. I place my order on their web site along with reasonably priced accessories. I included in my order comments a legal statement that the item can’t be gray market, must be used, unopened, with full US manufacturers warranty, etc. etc. Then I waited by my email account for the efax voice mail message to come in (never give our your real phone number). Sure enough – about 2 hours later – there it was. “Please call to confirm your order. I called, and the script started. The price offered was for a gray market camera with a non-English user’s manual. They can sell me the US version for $1000+ more, and accessories, accessories, accessories, extended warranty, etc. If I had ordered with them it would have cost over a thousand extra – and I had done my homework and knew I could get the US product for less. Like everyone here with a similar story – stay away from this company.

Sounds to good to be true? Usually means it is!

Since you all are on the cam subject, just wanted to let you know I did some diggin in on those online cam shops (ie Royal Camera). Those places are a total scam (switch and bait outfits). There are hundreds of awful reviews like the one my reef quoted. Also, I tried the price match thing with other companies. The legitimate ones won't match those scam outfit prices.

For SPS lovers, http://www.lonestarcorals.com/ has very nice package deals at 5 aquacultured frags for $135 and 10 frags for $235. This includes shipping, and John usually throws in some freebies.
