I'm in Chicago from out of town and have half a day free. I'm staying at a hotel on LaSalle and Randolph. Any close-by shops I should see before I head back home? I want to spend my kids inheritance.

Thanks,
David

old town aquarium is a pretty short train ride away.. - Check out http://oldtownaquarium.com for the adress. However, if you're going to have access to a car, there's some great places on the northside!

Thanks for the quick reply.

How expensive would a cab to the northside be?

I figure reefdweller (http://reefaholics.org ) is about 12 or so miles off from you- so a pretty penny as far as that's concerned. Also, if you're not buying livestock, it's passable; You might just be teasing yourself!

Actually, have you thought about visiting Shedd Aquarium yet? They've got a reef section :D ( http://shedd.org ) - and it's right close to where you're at. Shedd and Old Town Aquarium would be a fine afternoon, in my book!
