Wow, two of the world's sexiest luxo-sport-coupes sitting in a row. :eek1:

six series and a bentley! Both riding on 20"+ rims.

Oh yeay, the Porsche Cayanne turbo on 20's was right behind it.

Damn!

The 6 in black paint is, IMHO, absolutely killer. Especially with dark tint. Probably one of my favorite car styling jobs of all time.

First time I had seen one. During my 5 days there I saw over a dozen 6 series. There was a lambo countach there too but I think it was a kit.

LOL, it's not everyday you see a tractor-trailer in the middle of manhattan. He pulled up when we were walking, don't know what he was doing. This was taken on a side street in Times Square.

I have never really cared too much for the Bentley's. Don't get me wrong, if I had the chance, I would defintely consider it, but after see this one with the 20s - that makes all the difference in the world. But that 6 series is incredible!!!

The Bently Coupe, IMHO, is the best styled Bently yet - much more sporting in nature. Almost looks as if they combined elements from an Aston with a Jag, then threw in classic Bently snobbish-uppity touches. :D

yeah it does look more sporty, but man those taillights are HUGE!!!

oh yeah, thrlride - glad to see you are starting your daughter off at the right age to be behind the wheel of a vette!!!

Is it me or do all little ones like to do that? She did it at the Mazda dealership in a new Miata too.

I just do not know about the new "bangle" BMW's - IMO he really screwed up a great line up of cars - they look like pontiacs now!

Personally, I'm a very big fan of Bangle's designs. A quick question (not meant to offend) - are you basing your Pontiac comparison off of seeing photos of the cars online and in mags, or off of seeing the cars in person? IMHO, the bangle-ized BMW's have incredible presence in person that's not easily captured in a photo.

IMHO, BMW design has been totally stagnant for about 25 years. If Bangle hadn't kicked things up a notch, the cars would be pretty darn boring. His designs do exactly what he intended them to do - get people to talk about them.

I agree most photos of new designs just do not capture the cars true presence....what comes to mind is the the new C5 Audi A6...looks like crap in photos, grill looks way out of place - but in person look great IMO...

anyway, yes I've seen both the 5 & 6 in person and to me the 5 series looks a lot like a pontiac GTO from the front, not so much on the six series..

The new line up just does not do anything for me anymore

I'd have to see the audi in person but on paper I hate the new fronts.

I'm mixed about Bangles designs. I like the 6 but the 5 hasn't warmed up to me yet. The 7 is okay too.

What do you guys think about the Z4? That was the first Bangle that jumped at me in person after looking unimpressive on paper.

I'm still undecided about the new A6. Though, I have to give Audi credit. People claim the front came out of nowhere, but if you look at grille designs from any of the models that were freshened within the last 4 years or so you can see that they've carefully been building up to it.

dubitup, seeing your avatar, do you have an Audi?

I really like the look of the A4 and A6 of before, not the new one. Maybe I will change my mind if I saw it in person...
I'm still undecided on the Z4. It's okay I guess. Not something I aspire to have...

Yup, it's a 1999 A6, my second Audi, I've owned this one since new....I've modded it a bit, tint, HID's,wheels,brakes, suspension....usual stuff...

Z4 when sitting looks bent near the rear seat area, not very easy to the eye, very hard lines that IMO contrast too much... same for the Mazda RX8, wheel wells look like they we stolen from the Elise.

Which engine? I came very close to buying a 2.7tt A6 before I ended up with my '01 1.8t A4. Mine's also not stock and is probably one of the nicest all-around cars I've ever owned - I decided that A6's were just too big for my taste, though I love their styling.

I'll agree with you on the RX8, but I like the un-balanced look of the Z4. IMHO it's not pretty to look at in a static sense; but even when sitting still the contrasting lines make it look like it's in motion.

Though I recently drove an S2000 for the first time, and if I were to buy a small roadster it would be a hard choice between it and the Z4.

Thanks :) My sister was curious as to why I was taking pictures of cars in NYC, I guess she just doesn't understand.

I was considering getting one until I took the new job in Spartanburg - the BMW facility is here. The workers get a brand new one every 2 years with insurance and ALL maintenence for about $300/month. They're ALL over the place.

They call it the redneck sportscar here.

Glad I didn't get one.

Shoot, I'd take one too for that price.

MY (model year) 1999 were only 2.8L 30v V6, 200hp

I'm starting to look again for a new car and have thrown the idea of getting an A4 Avant, but not to sure yet on engine type yet.....S4 Avant w/ Recaros and Alcantara inserts= so yummy, but close to 60K.....an M3 is right up there with price, and it will easily get away from the S4 Avant, but not in the snow...Quattro was the reason I got the A6 in the first place.

How's the A4 holding up, I know that these german cars can be very pricey to maintain, but they are well built cars
