can i keep a 4 inche clown trigger in a 20G...it's 3 feet long i think

you mean a 20 gal long tank?
personally, i wouldn't, becuz that 4" trigger will be 8-9 inches in the next 8 months

To be perfectly honest with you when mixing a Clown Trigger with just about anything it is a gamble. Some have had luck, some have not. Not many have had good luck long term. I've not kept any eels but have had my CT since it was barely 1". Over the last year I have noticed his aggression and intolerance of tank mates growing.

My CT on the other hand has 8 other tank mates and I have had no problems. He is still a baby but he is also in there with 2 other triggers and a snow flake eel.

The important point here is that he is still a baby. I'm quite confident that the harmony will not last forever. As he matures he will knock off any fish that swim by him the wrong way. :( When planning on keeping a CT long term one must be prepared to have a large tank dedicated to this beauty.
