In my 20G pipefish tank, I have a lot of these little buggers. I know they are harmless, but there are just too many of them. Besides being unsightly, they feast on my Caulerpa Prolifera like crazy. I have been using my hand to (with glove on) to crush them against the glass and live rock, and the nassarius snails, hermit crabs, peppermint and cleaner shrimps will clean them up. This certainly is not a very efficient way to get rid of them for good. Please advice.

Thanks.

Hi,

[welcome]

Other than some sort of predator, perhaps a small wrasse or some other bug-eating fish, I really don't have a potential solution for you.

Sorry. :(

Thanks for the reply, Dr. Ron.

If I were to add a small wrasse, which species would you think has the greatest chance of eating the isopod yet unlikely to bully my banded pipes? Thanks.

Hi,

I haven't a clue, sorry. :( You probably should ask this question in one of the fish forums.
