choc chip starfish probs

anyone ever have any problems with choc chip stars?? i had one die on me. it seemd very healthy for a while then it just stoped moving one day. the whole timei had it i noticed that my shrimp were very attracted to it. and after it stoped moving theys were evem more attracted to it. i have 1 pepermint and 1 cleaner. any suggestion. i also have a maron clown catalina goby and green chromis

Were you direct feeding it or just letting it scavange?

It may well have starved to death. IME with predator stars, you need to direct feed them i.e. place them on top of a piece of seafood.

ok thanks for the advice. i thought he would get his own food. he was very active for a while. he probably did starve to death. my chromis and clown take up most of the food.

off topic: what temp is the tank at?

catalina gobies- aren't they the ones that need cooler temps?
