Here a picture I have not seen posted. Can I get help with this creature. I have several more shots as it crawls back into the sands edge.

I have those, they green part of the worm lives under the sand, and the reddish brown tentacles wave just above the surface. Comes out of the sand occasionally and relocates.

Tagging along.

I have about 200 of those things in my 180 (that I can see). They are great at keeping the place clean. Had them a long time and they have never caused any issues for te reef. They will grab a small blue leg now and then but he generally get away. Great Clean up crew. A keeper!

Hi,

It is a hair worm or cirratulid polychaete. Read about them in this column (http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-06/rs/index.htm) I wrote in Reefkeeping Magazine.

Here is a slightly better image of one. There are about a half dozen species found in aquaria, and they differ slightly in color pattern, size, and behavior. All are good detritivores.
