My daughter noticed a very small spider on the front of my tank, and by small, i mean small. As i'am new to the sw hobby, what kind of spider could this be? Also, are they a bad thing in the tank? You can almost see right thru this one. Thanks for any and all replies.

Could be just about anything. Most likely its a copepod.
But it could be a small hydroid jellyfish. Or an actual type of sea-spider.

Go to this link and scroll down to "dots with legs":

Is this the "spider" you're talking about? If so, you probably have a colony of hydroids somewhere on your live rock. There are also sea spiders as sloth said, but it's hard to know without a picture.

It's so small it's hard to tell, but it has about 10-12 legs give or take a few. My tank has been cycling for about 3wks now, and the longer it goes, the more things are starting to show up.
