If i do DSB...

OKay this is all about DSB, nothign else...Okay my question is, if i do DSB and then use egg creat should i use lets say 2.5" of sand then do the eggcreate then the rest of the sand? because i plan on having gobies and pistol shrimp and don't want them to distrubt the DSB? I'm not sure if i'm correct because i don't really know much about DSB becasue there is soo much confliction that i can't learn about it here, i'd really just like to know the positives and negatives about it, i want to know what i could be getting myself into from facts. Thank you

It would be a waste of a lot of time for people to post info on DSB here since its been said so often before. I wouldnt do a DSB if you dont know about properly maintaining one.

If you want a functional deep sand bed, you can't have animals that dig, period.

Which is quite ironic because a DSB is meant to be a more natural filtration method
