We're going on a week long vacation next week, and one of our friends will be feeding the fish. They typically eat a frozen mix I get at the LFS, and occasionally they eat flakes. would it be okay to go with flakes only for the week? It would be easier for our friend I think.

Sometimes i feed only flakes for a week or so, no harm comes from it, it's just that a variety is best

I just returned from a six day vacation and told my sister-in-law who was dogsitting for us to only feed the fish flake food once on the 3rd day. Fish can go for quite a while without food.

Flake and nori sheets form the bulk of my fish's diet with occasional frozen food supplements such as formula one and two, plankton, and mysis shrimp. Since I switched to flake as their staple, they have all shown a growth spurt and more vibrant colors.
