View Full Version : Blasto Growth Sequence

I will log pictures of my blasto as it starts to grow and generate new polyps. The following picture shows a new polyp coming out from underneath the "mother" polyp. I've been observing the new growth for about a month now. It starts out with tissue from the base of the "mother" polyp spreading out. Three circular growth start to rise up from the new tissue. The color is pale. The oral disc starts to develop and the you start to see the red coloration on the tissue. The following picture will show one of the new polyps coming out from underneath the mother polyp. You can see it at the point where to two larger polyps meet:

I will try to take more pics of the new growth after I feed them to show the new growth better. I wished I had started this photo log earlier. But I didn't think much of it because my green blastos are spreading in the same fashion as well.
