I have several fish from him. All lived the acclimation..... It takes at least 3 hours to drip them for my reef which is at .025-.026. I am not happey with the long drip time and this is 1 reason I do not buy alot of fish from him. He sometimes gets stuff in that no one else has so you have to make a choice...... Fish or no fish.
I still have all but 1 fish I got there.... He died jumping from my tank 4 months after I got him :(
I have my GSM clowns for over a year now.... Can't remember what else I got there???? I know I got something else...

Keeping the fish in lower levels of salt is harmless. Good way to keep of ick and other parasites... I belive they say you can go as low as 1.009......

I've gotten several fish from him, also, as well as a couple of corals. Like g'man said, it's a good way to keep the parasites at a minimum. I've got a YT from him that's doing great-had it for a couple of months now.

I did (and recommend, especially for a tang) put him in a quarantine tank for about a week with an 'intermediate' salinity-I ran my QT (10-15 gal) at about 1.021 or so to make sure that he was adjusting well to the increase prior to putting him into the main tank.

I have an Acanthurus achilles in hypo right now for a friend. Fish is in 1.010 or 1.009. Thing is hes done this befor and the ick keeps coming back. Next i may end up ruining the 40 breeder the fish is in and putting copper in the tank.

Would hate to lose the fish.

I have been in there once and saw some of his older collonies (SPS).
All I can say is WOW.... Some of the largest i have seen personaly in a tank.
I asked the guy working there about them he gave me a card and the owners name. I never called to see how much he would want to part with any of them if he even would.

What ever happend to mid hudson tropical and BMG ? They still in business ?
