Xenias not lookin so hot...

I got my xenia about 27 hours ago... it looks like crap... it doesnt move and it just droops... Also it is tearing away from its base... its leaning its bottom flesh behind, and is just hangin on... What can do to help this coral?

Was it shipped? They tend to be bad shippers but, I've had my Xenia look really bad after moving them. They tend to take a few days to adjust fully so I wouldn't be to worried, Yet.

What are your tank perams? We need this info to be able to help properly.

Some corals may take days to respond. If xenia isn't actively `melting' ... I'm mellow out, keep the tank stable ... and try to enjoy the ride :)

You could try to dose a little bit iodine. It may help.

I dosed a little Iodine... Tank permameters were fine... but it died... But today my rents took my out and We got an open red brain, and a rock with some differant color elephant ear shroom on it...

If you're going to dose iodine, make sure you have tests for iodine--because it's extremely easy to OD a tank with iodine. I know that from experience:( Anyway, don't be surprised if your xenia just suddenly starts growing new polyps in the next few weeks.
