Okay first let me start off by saying I am not a zoo guy. I am a sps guy.
My water params of everykind are in check. My sps are doing great. I also have several other zoos which seem to be doing fine. I have two pieces that this is happening too. I only have one pictured because the other piece is pretty much completely toast.
Here is the pics of whats happening...

The zoos seems to like be eating itself. Its tenticles suck in, yet its mouth/center gets all bloated.
So what is going on? I have had them for a month+, and i have about 10 different other zoos doing good. On this rock there are some green zoos on the backside, and you can see them on here too they are doing healthy. I thought that maybe the green zoos were killing the reds. However on the other piece that is dying there is no other types of zoos.

So since i dont know zoos is there anything i can do to save them? If it were a sps id just frag it.
Thanks guys,
DR

The ones that still looked healthy, no longer really look healthy anymore.
So what happened?

It could be the same thing I've dealt with and now tooloud is dealing with. Check this link and inspect your zoos closely too see if you can see the white cheesy looking deposit in betweeen the zoos and on the outer surface of the polyps.

With my colonies, at first all that I could see was that the polyps were closing up for no apparent reason until a few days later, the fungus became more pronounced and visible. Unfortunately if this is what you have, there really isn't anything you can do about it.

I dont see any of the white fuzz.
The polyps dont seem to be just closing up, they are like melting away.
Thanks for the idea though....

I looked at the pic again and it may be hard to tell, but those polyps that look part open... are actually disinegrating. They arent really half open.

that's a real shame. they are so pretty! have you tried moving them to a different part of the tank and in a lower flow area?

I didnt....

I fragged out the polyps that looked healthy and seperated them. I dont think it will work, as it is probably going to be hard to tell if i got rid of all the infected polyps of the colony or not.
Was a last resort move =/

Looks like they are getting too shaded - is that a possibility? You can probably give them a lot of flow and light.
