The BEAST 12'x4'x4'

1300gallons
Price: $5900.00

Single Large Overflow on end. 1" acrylic made by Aquart brand new was $8000.00

Tank is new, never been set up and is a beast. It does have a small chip in lower left corner. Professional assesment is that the chip is not an issue with integrity. Bottom of tank has 1/2" acrylic below the 1" acrylic bottom. The majority of the chip is in the 1/2" bottom plate.

Tank is located in Red Wing Minnesota. Buyer pick up or arrange for crating and shipping logistics. Pick up is best. Please contact via private message or email reefgrip@hotmail.com

I had to pass on the 650g tank (8'x5' by 30" high), so I'm back on the hunt for a larger tank. Pending an architect & structural engineer reviewing/creating plans for the addition (where the tank will go - above the garage)

Just bumping it up and also to clarify. The "new" price is different between the two threads describing the large tanks. It's not that it changed but the original owner died of cancer, very suddenly. I posted the pictures as soon as the tanks were out of the house. A while later the original bill was found and the amount of $$$ had changed. Everyone was guessing in the mean time , the widow did not even know how much he had paid for it. He would have died sooner if she knew.....
The pwr company even showed up wondering why the meter had dropped so much. When they saw all of the tanks/pumps not running their questions were answered.

Hrm, will my seaclone skimmer work on this? :)

If I bought this, my wife would make me sleep in it.

Six feet underground. With no skimmer.

Nice tank. You really need a big house for this tank. It is almost the size of my room.

They are the same tank. Yes, it does look like the overflow in the 2nd pic isn't in the first pick... but it is. It is in the far left side of the tank (the 2nd pic shows the side the overflow is mounted on).

Having a big room wouldn't be the problem. The real problem would be cutting a whole in the side of the house so you could get it in!

That's sort of the problem I'm facing right now. I just had a custom 240g tank made that is 8'x2'x2'. I was going to install it in my basement in a room right next to my fish supply room. When I got it home I soon discovered a) my celing in the basement (right where the stairs are) is only 7 1/2' tall. b)There is a steep right angle you have to take at the bottom of the stairs. And c) the wall straight ahead is made of brick, so there was no way to just punch a hole in the wall to try and get it through...

Looks like this tank may end up in our formal living room upstairs instead :) Unless I can figure some miracle way to get this tank in the basement!

can you put a tank that large upstairs?

Will the ground hold?

These large tanks are for basements and main concrete floors only. The other big problem is having enough room to make it around corners/down stairs in many houses. It takes a lot of extra space. WIthout windows coming out or holes cut it is just physically challenging for many. Then there must be enough space for everyone to lift/guide it thru.

Mod's, thanks for re-opening
All of the tanks are still available, I just don't get to RC as much as I used to. They are in a storage unit. There are 3 threads total, one for tanks, sump and containers/equipment.
As far as updates, the smaller H2o container, skimmer and bio balls are gone.
No deals unless someone wants all 3 tanks and sump. Working on a sale now, not sure if it was due to the thread bump. Thanks for getting to the top again, Dirk 651-388-7319
