Some info on the fan would be good. I thought DC can not be hook up to AC adapter, thought that would burn the fan.

they can be hooked up to AC with an AC-DC adapter. how do you think most people power there fans. On the AC adapter there should be a volts adjuster or you can get the adapter that corresponds with the volts of the fans, there should be no problem.
