Is this an ok thing to do? I bought about a dozen turbo snails to help take care of my hair algae and half of them immediately went for the glass.. So ive taken to moving them. As of now i think theres only 2 on the glass. Is this fine?

If you really want to sit there an move them, that is up to you. Even if you put them directly on the algae, if they are not hungry they wont eat it. My turbos dont touch the hair algae I have.

Not to mention when they eat there fill, they can sit one spot for 2 days sometimes.

I'd leave them alone. They'll get to everything within a week or two.
Keep the hair algae short or they won't touch it IME.

A while back when I had a hair algae problem the turbos I had didn't really take to it. I bought some astreas and they cleaned it right up.
