As far as I understand (and please correct me if I'm wrong), the zeovit method is one way to drive phosphate and possibly other nutrients to very low levels, and those low levels can bring out more coloration in some corals as the zoox populations are low due to the "lack" of nutrients.

I think that is an interesting way to treat a tank if coloration is your goal, but some organisms may not care much for the low nutrient levels, and may not thrive as well. They may also not be as stable against other stresses (temperature, pH, lack of appropriate organic foods, etc ) if they are already being significantly limited by nutrients.

That said, I don't know much more about what phosphate levels are actually attained in most such systems, nor what effects those levels will have on the various tank organisms we keep.
