I am doing a fish only tank .... some one suggested that I use a trickle filter and and protien skimmer ... for my fishonly tank... with some refuge.. I am a first timer ... any suggestion on what types of devices are the best... Is the best set up???


any suggeston would help

I don't know what you mean by a trickle filter. A wet-dry unit and a protein skimmer work well for many people. If you have a light load, live rock can replace the wet-dry. More specifics on the tank size, etc., would help.

Trickle filter (aka Wet/Dry) would be awesome....
since FO tank, you might want to invest in a UV along with the skimmer.......

Wet/Dry and a big protein skimmer will give you good success, just make sure youre not planning on upgrading to a reef later, will cost you some extra $$$.

What are some good types of plant for FO tanks >>>what would be an average cost of a wet /dry filter .... and big protien skimmer
I will be getting a clown fish , and chromis , shrimps, snails , maybe some yellow tangs... how does that sound.. any help would be great

Price depends on size of your tank.
