Wash soda?

What is wash soda? what brands make them?

Washing soda is sodium carbonate.

However it is safer to use baking soda which is sodium bicarbonate as it is food grade.

Washing soda is also caustic (can increase pH tremendously) depending on the situation it can be desirable or undesirable.
