Dr. Randy
I have searched for a thread on this topic but to no avail. The best I can figure(correct me if I am wrong) is Kalkwasser if you want to raise PH and add Bio-available calcium and Calcium Chloride if you just want to Calcium levels. Does one solution offer more calcium to the organisms than another?
Thanks

The calcuim is the same in either form, Ca++. In some system the kalk can do it all, same for some two-part sups. It depends on the demand of the sytem for both. Some system may require both. Calcium chloride should not be added as a supplement but itself, but kalk is OK. This should help your;

Thanks, Boomer. :)

Just to harp on the most basic point: the calcium is the same once dissolved, but limewater adds alkalinity and raises pH and calcium chloride does neither.
