I was not sure to post this question here or in advanced topics, I hope its in the right place.
I am designing an aquarium that will be 2179 gal. A question I have at this stage is what will the daily evaporation rate be. I have been searching the web for a formula but cant find one that helps. If someone can point me in the right direction it would be helpful.
Thanks

you'll only know after you get it up and going. every system is different, even two exact systems will have different rates of evaporation.

my 29g has 2g per day evap, my 180 close to 6g, my 100 has less then 2.

I doubt you'll find any "formula" as it depends on the surface area, the humidity of the surrounding air, the air flow, the water flow, any skimming, etc.

Most aquaria evaporate between 0.5 and 2.5% of the volume daily, although for well closed aquaria it can be lower, and with a fan driving air onto the surface it can be higher.

A tank as large as yours may evaporate less as its surface area is lower in relation to its volume than a smaller tank.
