someone else live rock
some new sand, some old

been one week.

results:

amm= .02
nitrate= 0
nitrite= 0
CA = 470
PH= 7.9 (no lighting yet)
SG= 1.024

Any suggestions? am I doing everything right? how much longer?

Personally, I'd light the rock, and I'd drip limewater to keep the pH up during cycling.

I'd also measure calcium and alkalinity.

Raising the pH to at least 8.2 is a worthy goal.

How much longer for what? What do you plan to add next?

What is the alkalinity?

I would not add anything as long as you have measurable ammonia.

Nitrite may rise, although it is not nearly as toxic as ammonia.

Not likely deadly, but enough of a concern, especially since the kit may not be especially accurate.
