I currently have a 75gl tank with 5" DSB and about 200lbs LR,using a coralife compact light(about 125watts).I only had a few fish a 3 softies. A friend of the family had to tear down his reef tank last week and i ended up with about 30 different soft coral.I need to up date my lighting before i start having problems,I have a light supplier that I use for work (xray repair, viewbox)he carries most MH lamp etc.I am looking for some help from someone with a reef tank. The reason a want to use my supplier is i have very large discounts due to the amount i normaly buy.P.S. I will be joining MARS in July ahve heard great things about this group... Please help would like to try to get the stuff Tues. June,22 or Wed.the 23rd.

I think a mainly softie tank is a good chance to use a high kelvin temp bulb. Radium 200k's would be my first thought.
Maybe a couple or 3 250's?-Jim

IMO for just a 75g softie tank I reccommend you going with just 2-250w....try to go double ended bulbs if he has them...
