The Durso is what I have in both of my tanks, for my 85 Gallon, it added about 10 Gallons of water when I put it in. I went from about 6 inches of water in the built in overflow, and loud, to about 40 inches of water in the overflow and almost no noise.
In my 65, that has a hang on overflow, also did the Durso. I tried to do the standpipe in the last two links but for the life of me, I could not find the correct pluming. The "Slip Reducer" I always found would never allow my main pipe to go all the way thru so that I could attach the endcap. There was always a lip inside that stopped the pipe at the halfway point. It was really becoming a pain in the ***. So I went with a J tube instead, and drilled a hole on the top where I put in a little air valve. Works great, no noise out of it either.
Just thought you all might want to read about these things, since they are a bit new still, and not everyone has seen this yet.
