surely everyone has their HM Digital DM1: Dual TDS Meter featuring an advanced microprocessor purchased via the first ever CIMA power buy already installed,...right?!

well lets see those results!

city of tolono tap water = 175 TDS
post 1st stage/sediment filter = 162 TDS
post 2nd and 3rd stage/carbon filters = 157 TDS
post 4th stage/RO = 8 TDS
post 5th stage/DI aka finished product = 2 TDS

conclusion: new sediment and dual carbon filters have been reordered and will be changed monday or tuesday (i'll post back with results from new filters). RO looks to be in good shape. considering changing DI resin.

looks like spflds is at 228. i got output water at 27 not using di. if your looking for a rejection percentage i believe im at 91%. i been told regulations for drinking water is at least 75% rejection. that came from ro com. out west.

larry,

you are closer to 89%.

FWIW, a properly functioning RO should have a 90% reduction from tap to finished product. looks like yours is good, but i'd toss a DI on there as 27 TDS would bother me :)

IN- 216 ppm
OUT- 6 ppm

I have a 3 stage Kent RO unit and am very happy with the results.

wow steve, perfect results from your RO/DI. are those new filters?

interesting... from champaingn to tolono the water line goes from 145 to 175 TDS. from tolono to tuscola it goes from 175 to 190. since it is the same water line, i assume the water gathers "stuff" during the ride south?
