If you're a paid member (and your address is listed with the club) you will get one in the mail. I just sent 62 of them out on monday (that's pretty fast for snail mail), so all members should be getting one soon. There will be a couple extra at the June meeting, so if you don't get one, we meed to make sure we have the right address for you on the member roster.

Believe it or not. sacramento is a major mail hub. so most mail sent from sacramento to most places in california usually arrives within 1-2 days... with the exception of that bill that you waited till the last day to pay... lol

How much does it cost to become a paid member and what benefits do you get along with it. Thanks

Jeni, I'll start working on one. Hopefully I can have it done in the next couple weeks.

Jeni,
This is just an idea......what about a "want ads" type of page or section in the newsletter for MARS people who have equipment for sale/trade or items that they are looking for?
This might be beyond the scope or purpose of the newsletter, but I wanted to present the idea.
Thanks,
James

James - It's a good idea. I've seen sale/trade pages in other club newsletters. The only difficulty will be keeping it updated. I was considering creating a form that club members can fill out, with their items for sale or trade, and submit to me for inclusion in the newsletter. Are there any other club members interested in a sale/trade page in the Surge Zone?

I didn't get one.... probably because I haven't renewed my dues yet (I plan to). It has been difficult to attend since the time change. Any thoughts of changing back?

Pay Up Buddy! The reason we changed the meeting time to 7:00 from 7:30 was due to all the member chit chat at the start of the meetings. Starting at 7:30 caused the meeting program not to get going until 8-8:15 which put us out of there at 11:00 or so. The time change was in the hope that we could wrap up the meetings by 10:00 ish. The first half-hour is just club business, announcements, raffle ticket sales, future agendas etc. Don't feel bad about coming in a little late; it's better than missing the meetings altogether. Hope you can make it!:D
