Nitrite Never Detected

Do to recent problems I expected a bump on my levels. But I had a small bump on amonia and thats gone. I have some nitrates but I never detected any elevated levels nitrite. Do those bacteria work super fast? Thanks

It may have simply been consumed as fast as it was made, or perhaps the kit was malfunctioning. It's hard to tell which.

Cool. So it can work "on the fly". Do you know of a simple test to see if the kit works? Like a source of nitrite? If not then thats ok. It really does not matter. Thanks again Randy. You are the man!

No, I don't really have an easy way to test the kit. Nitrite is not very toxic, however, so I wouldn't worry about it anyway. It is really ammonia that you need be concerned with.
