After recent posts concerning the amount of PO4 in R/O water and then in distilled water, I did contact the manufacturer f the distilled water I purchased to see if my "Red Sea" brand PO4 test kit was at fault or was the distilled H2O. The manufacturer runs regular testing on their distilled water, both consumer and laboratory grades. There are no phosphates in distilled water yet the RS test kit reads 0.1PPM. I am returning the kit for refund. It might be a bad kit but who knows - you might check yours..
