Worm Identification

I just pulled a worm off of a piece of flower pot that I bought from my LRS. It was white. When I sucked it up into the baster it turned brown. Are these types of worms good or bad?

Pic would be helpful, if no picture then you might want to describe it in terms other than color. Color very seldom works for identification. A good technique if you cant provide a picture is to do a search and see if you can find a picture on this site that closely resembles the little fella.
