Dose anyone know who in the area sells a 50/50 65 watt 4 pin straight bulb. My fuge light blew yesterday and Keith, petco and pet smart only have 55 watt.
Can I use a 55watt in my 65 watt light?

I'm 90% sure that 55 and 65 watt PC bulbs are interchangeable. I know for certain that you can replace a 55 with a 65 so it's probably the same ballast Bob.

I'm 98% sure that TW has a straight pin 50/50 bulb in 55 or 65 watt. I can two-way Bruce @ noon and find out 100% if you want.

Also, have you considered switching to a straight 6500k or 6700k bulb IME the lower K grows macros faster and the bulb is cheaper to boot.

Jay's right Bob. You're better off with a regular daylight bulb over the fuge.

I was thinking of trading lights on my refugiums. I have 2 fish in my 20 fuge on my FOWLR with a ton of blade caluerpa. I have 2 40 watt NO lights on that fuge. I was going to take those lights and put them on my 15 gal that has no fish in it just some fern, mexicana caluerpa. Now I want the better light on my 20 so the fish have better color and i was going to but some Kenyas in there to make more room in my 125. I also run the light on the 15 24/7 and the bulbs for the NO lights are cheaper to replace.
Thanks for the info....

Bob, I have a 55 watt you can test to see if it fires up in your ballast. I'll give it to you when you come to test your H2O if you still need to.
