i have a 120 gallon tank and i want to increase the flow of water returning to the tank i curently only have a mag 500gph I have a single syphen overflow i ran 4 return outlets in pvc above the front of the tank and have them pointing in differant directions to move water flow in differant directions i come off the pump with 3/4 hose and convert over to 3/4 pvc then down to 1/2'' pvc that blows out in the differant directions so what size pump can i use to get maximum circulation and can i over size alittle and put a ball valve on to regulate it the tank is built into my wall so you don't see the pvc its mounted above the front of the tank with 4 shoots heading into it from one side to the other

That is one long run on sentence. Periods are our friend... All kidding aside, you can oversize your return pump IMO, and use a ball valve or gate valve to regulate return flow. How big are your drains? That will determine the maximum amount of return allowable.

get one more overflow(lifereef) and upgrade your pump to 1200gph and plumb in a 4 way Oceansmotions. I have 2 700gph lifereefs on a 75g with a mag 12 hooked up to a Oceansmotions. You will not be dissapointed.
