I am getting ready to set my 350 gal reef tank back up with a DSB after a move and was wondering if there are any sands that are black that would be accpetable. The wife wants black sand and if I can do it then I may get a few more bucks for the tank.

Hi,

There are sources of black lava and glass sands, and they will be fine. The composition of the sand is unimportant, so shop around you should be able to find some.
