How can I lower VHO's in a canopy?

I just recieved my two IceCap 175w MH retro kits with 10k German bulbs, and two SpiderLight reflectors. Also got a IceCap 430 retro with two Actinics.

Ho can I lower the actinics so they're equal to the bottom of the reflector? I need to lower them about 3".

I just have my VHO's resting on the top of my tank. I cut 2 1X2's and coated them with sealent and set them across the ends of the tank. I just set the VHO tubes on the 1X2's and this seems to work great. I use URI bulbs that have the internal reflector.
