I need some help. I want to set-up a tank at work but it will be tricky. Not really allowed to have something with a lot of water. They worry about it spilling on a computer. So i want to know what the smallest nano anyone has tried and been successful with.

somebody had a little vase on their desk a while back, don't remember who it was. Or how big, but it was less than a gallon. Just corals in a vase, nothing else.

I guess what I'm trying to say is you can go smaller than a gallon, but you cant really get anything but corals.

Go 2.5 If you can. It is fairly tiny and still allows for rock aquascaping and nice coral selections. And possibly a shrimp or very tiny goby.

I've had a 1 gallon reef with PCs that kept the water warm. as far as corals went I mostly kept mushrooms, Polyps, Candy Coral, a Maxima Clam (1in long), Monti Pora, and a Blue Cap Frag. I have picts some place if i find them i will send them to you.

No doubt. My sisters fiance bit the bug, after watching me setup my tank, and seeing it almost every week. We found a smoking deal, and picked up that same tank (Red Sea Aquavase) for $10 bucks (only thing missing was the light). But for the tank and filter, what a smokin deal. Just gotta rig up some LED's, and he's good to go.
