Kalk and Weld-On Joints?

I had an acrylic sump that I used to hold Kalk solution for an evaporation make-up drip. After a few weeks it developed a leak. I attributed it to the fact that the glue joints weren’t good, the sump was fairly tall and the joints couldn’t hold the water pressure. My friend was kind enough to build me another.

I’ve been leak testing it, full, for several days in my basement. It appears to be sealed.

Just now it occurred to me… What if Kalk compromises the Weld-On joints? Anybody have any compatibility knowledge about Kalk and Weld-On/Acrylic?

I doubt it very seriously. The Weld-On evaporates leaving only acrylic in the joint.
