how many watts needed for 125 reef tank

ive had my 125 acrylic for about three monthe it has a burlin turbo skimmer in external sump and internal trickle filter with two 1000 G.P.H. power heads i need to put more powerfull lighting in but how much? is everything aside from lighting in order? please help.:rollface:

It depends on what you want to keep in your tank. Also, how deep your tank is.

id like to keep botton polyps and other soft corals the tank is 2'2''

You could have dual 175watt and VHO Supplement. That would probably be good enough for waht you want. The VHO supplement i like and gives it a nice color.
