I had a big die-off of sps coral from a heater accident. Instead of throwing all the dead coral away, I was wondering if I could crush it up and put it in my calcium reactor? Anyone tried this?

that sounds good, but will the CO2 break it up? is the question???
maybe if you crush it down I would research more on this one.
Good question ...

It's why I have Montipora Digitata in my tank .

It's a renewable reactor media :bounce1: .

I do really but old skeletons in my reactor. I break them up and but them in the bottom and fill the reactor up on top of them. I have been doing this for a couple of years.

Have you seen them dissolve at the same rate as the other media?

It takes a while for the piece to completely go away but it does. What is the difference between this and ARM. One is better ground up.

Thanks for the info! I like recycling.
